Facebook Released new APP Facebook Lite
Social Networking Site Facebook has released new app for data-conscious users and those in developing markets.
New APP (Facebook Lite) promises to save data, which is a boon for 2G and EDGE networks in developing countries.
The data-sipping nature also makes for faster loading and performance, with the app experience feeling “snappier” than its big brother.
Facebook Lite app’s size is also notable, weighing in at 252KBs compared to roughly 25MBs for the normal Facebook app.
This app has been launched presently in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Sudan, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
This version of Facebook uses less data and works in all network conditions.
